Beautiful LOLA arrived from Kinngait Nunavut. She’s a husky mix, around a year old, very energetic and loving. She is very sweet and enjoys going for long walks. She is looking for an active home that will be able to teach her manners and show her how to be a house dog. LOLA has high prey drive so no to smaller animals or cats in the home. She does love to jump when excited so no children under the age of 12 years old please. She’s a lovely young girl who will do well in a home environment. If you are interested in LOLA please fill out a foster-to-adopt application.
TUKSA arrived on Boxing Day 2021 from Kinngait (Cape Dorset) she was heavily pregnant and we were very grateful that she made it into Ottawa before her pups were born. Flash forward to October, 2022 and TUKSA has raised her pups, they have been adopted and she is ready to find her forever home. TUKSA is 3 years old, has had multiple litters and survived life in the Arctic. She is looking for a home with an active family who like to walk and play as she is a very energetic husky mix who will also need a fenced yard. TUKSA loves people, loves to cuddle and bonds quickly to her person. She would benefit from being the only dog in the home with owners who are home most of the time with the patience and time to teach her how to just be a member of the family. She would do well with older children, not recommending younger children in the home as she still jumps up and doesn’t realize the impact of her own body. TUKSA is a sweet girl who deserves a family of her own after having raised her puppies and seen them off to their forever homes. If you are interested in TUKSA please fill out a foster-to-adopt application.
PAKUK arrived with UKI at the beginning of the year from Pangnirtung Nunavut where he also found himself at risk in the kill pen. Picked up as a stray his time was up and he was identified as needing to get into rescue by a community member. PAKUK, a Siberian husky mix is about 1.5 years old, a happy happy boy, super loves people and is a big singer. PAKUK is looking for an active family to share his life with. He would prefer to be the only pet in the home and with children that are 12 years or older. A single family home would be perfect as he is very vocal. If you are interested in PAKUK please fill out a foster-to-adopt application.
SPARKLES and her 7 gorgeous puppies arrived from Iqaluit Nunavut a few weeks ago. SPARKLES is a gorgeous young husky mix, around 12-18 months. She and her puppies were surrendered by their owner so they could come out to receive vetting and find new homes. SPARKLES is looking for a loving family that will take her on long walks and help her through the transition period of no longer having to care for her puppies. She loves to cuddle and she is good with dogs. We are not sure about cats. If you are interested in SPARKLES please fill out a foster-to-adopt application.
